Spending ban update 3

Hello all,
I realise its been a very long time since i posted, let alone did a spending ban update, i have been very ill, and have spent the majority of my time in bed, and even though this does technically mean i have had some free time, being sick, has made me just want to sleep and not be anywhere near the laptop. I'm still not 100% okay, but i thought it was time i did a little bit of an update here as i recently rediscovered my blogging mojo and didn't really want to lose it so quickly! The longer i don't post for the easier it is not to post!

I thought, what better way to update then with a spending ban update, so here we go..

Its the 10th of February 2013 and it means i would have been doing my spending ban for 41 days, BUT i failed! I guess i failed but in a way i didn't.
Let me explain, i got a cheque for £16 for a tax rebate as i paid too much tax last year and was owed some back, "brilliant news", i thought..so i went to the bank and put the cheque in, problem is, a cheque takes 5 days to clear, which means 5 days of waiting for the money to be available to me to use, and i just couldn't take the wait. Lets also not forget that fact i am ill, and by ill, i mean, really ill..i got sent home from work on Friday, literally walked to the front door of the building and told i was lucky that i got a cuddle from people, as i looked and sounded THAT disgusting, great!

Being sick, i thought would be a good thing while I'm on the spending ban, as i would have no energy to go to the shops and buy anything, but i was wrong, yes, i didn't have energy to go to the shops, but i did end up feeling sorry for myself and so instead, opted to treat myself by online shopping, by telling myself that i deserved something. To be fair i didn't spend much money AND i didn't buy any make up, or beauty related product. Instead i brought Watsapp for 69p as i literally was getting sick of using my limited texts to send to people, because i didn't want to fork our 69p for watsapp, and i also brought myself a phone case, it cost me £6 including postage and this was a little treat to myself while being sick.
I am thinking of it, in the way that i got that extra £16 from the tax people, so that's the money i used to buy myself the phone case, so in a way, i guess i didn't really fail!?
What do you guys think? I could have saved the extra £16 pounds and had a bit more money but instead i opted to treat myself as i was sick, was i wrong?!

Here's what i found hilarious, i brought myself the phone case as i was feeling sorry for myself and then i told Danny thinking he would be disappointed in me for kinda breaking the ban, but instead he was disappointed in me as he had ordered the exact same phone case for me to cheer me up as i was sick! D'oh.. Trust us two to go and do something like that, but how sweet on his part, he said he had come to my blog and seen my wish list and so thought he would treat me, but i beat him to it. :)

I have also got my nails done the second time, like I said i was allowed to, i spent £15 pounds on them, but since my ban finishes in 9 days, i don't think my nails will be done again anytime soon, so i stuck to that rule of only getting them done twice throughout this ban. I also went to Harvester the other day with Danny and his cousin, but i said i was allowed one night out a month during my ban and i was yet to have gone anywhere, so that little trip counted for that, and all i have to buy now is a valentines present for Danny. Other then that i haven't spent money on anything else, except Night nurse, but that was for obvious reasons, and i couldn't bring myself not to buy it when i desperately needed it.
